About me

I live in the North East of England, very close to Durham City.

As for Photography, this is something I have been thinking about more and more. I have always enjoyed snapping photos, but have never really put any thought into taking them.

One day in August, on a day trip to Edinburgh Castle, I realised that my old Fuiji Finepix camera just didn't seem to be able to do what I wanted. The fact that I wasn't really sure what I wanted it to do was also a problem. My next trip was to the South Lakes Wildlife Park, and I decided to try and think about the shots I was taking. How best to frame a shot, waiting for the right time, composure. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed myself, although my young son got a little tired of it after a while!

I started to look around for a new camera, and after doing some research, the thought of actually getting a decent camera and trying to learn how to take a shot started to sound more and more appealing!

This website is a journey as, hopefully, I learn and improve. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures I take. Please drop me a mail if you feel like it. This website is very much a work in progress and I would appreciate knowing about any issues or problems, or just hearing your suggestions.
